Howdy, I’m glad you stopped by. 

 I’m Renée, the gal behind Mudcat Designs.

In 2020, I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail and decided that I was tired of unisex backpacks with torsos that were too long, straps that didn’t curve, and hip belts that were too big.

I’m building Mudcat Designs on the belief that pack fit is personal, but ultralight can be universal. People looking to lighten their backpacking loads come in all shapes and sizes, and their packs should, too. I hope you’ll hit the trail with me as I build rugged, ultralight packs for curvy people.
